~Love it or not, we all have to do it~
Are you aware of your energy when you enter a room? Do you know how you show up in a group of people? Good networking skills are critical to our professional development, and these days since we rely mainly on electronic communication, our face-to-face and non-verbal communication skills may need some extra attention. Too often we focus on “doing”, and therefore neglect to check in with our bodies on a regular basis. Horses, by contrast, are constantly tuned in to their bodies – they are one thousand pounds of pure, 100% undiluted perception. Before and during your next networking event, pay attention to your body language and the cues you observe from others. Listening and observing can provide valuable feedback on how your energy impacts those around you.
